Teaching Experience

• Director: For five years I have worked with the first, second, and fourth year actors as a director. The goal being to guide the actors to transition the learned classroom tools to the stage performance.
• Productions: NORA, BUS STOP, STOP KISS, PIPELINE, UNCLE VANYA, A RAISIN IN THE SUN, BLUE WINDOW

• Teach contemporary Scene Study class for first year MFA actors
• Created Set, Light, and Costume design process with 2nd and 3rd year MFA designers
• Direct 2nd and 3rd year actors to manifest the transition of the craft from classroom studies to stage performance
• Productions: ZOOMAN AND THE SIGN, LUCK OF THE IRISH, JOE TURNER'S COME AND GONE

• Basic Acting – Focus on relaxation, body, movement self-awareness, fundamental of scene analysis, theater exposure
• Acting Two – Focus on scene study using Contemporary and American Classic Realism
• Acting Three – Focus on scene study using Period plays such as Chekhov and Ibsen
• Audition Technique – Focus on choosing the right monologue, preparing and performing an audition -monologues, theatre scenes, film scenes on camera, and cold readings
• Directing I – Focused on the fundamentals of the director's process
• Directed: THE LAST DAYS OF JUDAS ISCARIOT by Stephen Adly Guirgis, ZOOMAN AND THE SIGN by Charles Fuller, IPHIGENEIA AT AULIS by Euripides, INTIMATE APPAREL by Lynn Nottage

• Acting One - Focus on the Fundamentals of acting technique including voice, relaxation, actor preparation, personalization and analysis
• Auditions and Presentation – Teaching the actor the professional expectations of auditioning, booking, and performing as a Professional actor.
• Actor Transition Workshop – Preparing students to meet professionals from the Theatre/Film industry and giving them the opportunity to audition and receive feedback.

• Acting One – Full year course covering the fundamentals of acting technique including breathing, movement, relaxation, scene analysis, and contemporary scene work.
• Acting Two – Full year scene study course covering researching a role, emotional commitment, physical expression of a period play, American and European classic realism scene work - from Williams and Odets to Chekov and Lorca
• Voice and Speech – Full year course covering IPA (Edith Skinner) and vocal production (Berry)
• Audition Technique – One semester course scoring monologues, preparing audition monologues and scenes; also included actor presentation and business protocol
• Advised – 40 students per semester through BA and BFA Programs
• Recruitment – Recruitment tour to Arts Schools in Texas – auditioning and interviewing potential students
• Directed: ANTIGONE by Sophocles, THE COLORED MUSEUM by George C. Wolfe
• Guest Director: ELECTRA by Euripides

• TENNESSEE WALTZ, a one act play produced Off Broadway at HERE and Chashama performance spaces.
• SHE PRESISTED: 30 NEW 10 MINUTE PLAYS BY WOMEN OVER 40, Will be published February of 2021 by Applause Books
